Tucked away in the Catlins Conservation Park, McLean Falls pour 22 meters down a rocky cliff. They then continue to tumble down a series of moss-covered rocky terraces for many more meters. While itтАЩs only about a 40 minute return hike to the falls, the trail passes through a variety of indigenous flora: huge tree fuchsia, stands of olearia, and towering podocarp forest. Between the picturesque cascade and lush surroundings, itтАЩs easy to see why McLean Falls are touted as the best in the region.
