About Frankfurt

Modernism meets history in Frankfurt, the financial center of Germany. Frankfurt is noted for its futuristic skyline, with 20 of Germany's 21 skyscrapers, including the recognizable Commerzbank Tower. Nonetheless, among this contemporary wonder, the city also exudes old-world elegance with buildings like the Römer, a medieval building spanning more than 600 years that has been used as the city hall. Frankfurt is a fascinating place because of its mix of old and modern, which lends a special quality to it.

Wander around the Altstadt (Old Town), where quaint squares and authentic German homes emerge from cobblestone paths. Perfect for a day of retail therapy, the busy Zeil shopping district presents a mix of exclusive boutiques and local shops. From the Middle Ages to modern art, the Städel Museum presents an amazing collection of European treasures for art buffs. Not far by, the Goethe House Museum offers a window into the life of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, one of Germany's most-known authors.

Frankfurt shines with its greenery as well; the Palmengarten provides a quiet haven right in the middle of the city. Exotic plants from all over the globe flourish in the botanical garden, providing a calm refuge from the city buzz. Parks and riverbanks in the city offer lots of chances for leisurely walks, picnics, and outdoor activities. Photographers will find superb panoramic views of the city available on Main Tower's observation deck.

The city is renowned for its cuisine as well. Along with hearty German dishes, visit a traditional apple wine tavern and taste the local favorite, "Apfelwein," (apple wine). Featuring stalls offering fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, and international specialties, the Kleinmarkthalle is a food lover's heaven.

Frankfurt has a great deal to offer any visitor, regardless of your interests—history, shopping, or just downtime. Its rich cultural legacy, active arts scene, and varied cuisine guarantee that your trip will be unforgettable.

Slow down and see the country

We used Daytrip to get us from Prague to Frankfurt. Our driver Nikolai was amazing! He was so nice and was so easy to talk with. It made the long drive much more enjoyable and made it feel like the time went by so fast. It was a pleasant surprise to have Wi-Fi in the car! The communication prior to his arrival was great. It eliminated the unknown. I knew what type of car to look for, the license plate, and who was driving us. He was on time and the car was very comfortable. The cost was very reasonable. I compared it with flying and it was about the same price (if not a little cheaper) but so much less hassle. Taking a train was obviously cheaper, but we would have had to change trains twice and we didn't want that stress. We enjoyed seeing the country by car and having a stop in Nuremburg for lunch and a stretch. It's good to slow down and enjoy your time abroad.

This is a wonderful company and service

I would highly recommend this company. This was a very simple process. We used this service for transfer from Prague to Frankfurt. This was the last leg of our trip. The train route was not simple. There would have been several transfers and I did not want to risk any problems or delay as we were flying home the next morning. Our driver Matej was punctual and friendly and just an all around awesome person. Very respectful of us. He got us to our destination safely and the trip was quick and comfortable. I cannot recommend him enough. The cost of this service is very reasonable. I would never bother flying if this were an option and certainly would consider the ease and convenience of using this service over a train always. This is much lower stress option. I cannot recommend this enough. A+ experience.

Getting from Prague to Frankfurt

Kaye and I were absolutely delighted with the service provided by your company and in particular Marrion our driver. We had originally booked to travel to Frankfurt by train but decided to change to your company because of timetabling changes and travelling on trains with heavy bags. We could not have made a better choice than to travel with your company. The experience will be a highlight of the trip for both of us. Great work.

From Prague to Frankfurt

I booked a private transfer from Prague to Frankfurt with four stops along the way. It was a full day and I had my 87 year-old mother with me who was very hesitant about embarking on this journey. It ended up being the highlight of her holiday and she still talks about our wonderful driver, Pavel, who was such a gentleman from start to finish. He couldn't do enough to make sure our journey was a pleasant experience. I would definitely use this service again and hope to find another Pavel.

Daytrip from Frankfurt to Prague

We had a great (first) experience with Daytrip! Our driver, Andy, picked us up at our Frankfurt hotel and drove us to Prague (approx. 5 hrs). We stopped mid-way in Nuremberg and spent a couple hours touring the marketplace and castle, as well. Took us directly to our hotel. Along the way, Andy proved to be a great tour guide. He had interesting stories and was quite knowledgeable about European customs, places, politics, etc. We had never used this service before. And will use it from now on - and recommend to friends! It is much faster than train service.

Great way to go!

We used Team Daytrip instead of using a connecting flight for one leg and instead of using the train for the other. It allowed us to incorporate the excursions with travel making for a much more efficient use of our time. Great people, new equipment, great service. Frankfort to Prague incorporating Amberg and Pilson amd Prague to Vienna incorporating Kutna Hora and Chateau Lednice.

Easy travelling

We used this service twice whilst travelling in Europe recently. The first was Nuremburg to Prague, then Prague to Frankfurt. What a fabulous way to finish our trip, both drivers arrived on time with lovely roomy cars. Both drivers were friendly and knowledgeable about the areas we were travelling through. It was so lovely to go door to door without having to lug our luggage about. We had beautiful scenery to admire in absolute comfort. We would definitely use this service again. Thank you to our drivers.

Day trip Prague to Frankfurt

From the moment Milos picked us up at our hotel in Prague, he was curteous and very informative, explaining local attractions and facts about living in Europe, included was a short tour of Nuremberg. He went above our expectations to make sure we were comfortable and even emailed us photos he had taken on the trip. We have recommended the service to friends traveling to Europe and will also use this service again when in Europe.
