Bouzov Castle is a favorite with international movie makers when it comes to choosing unrivaled scenery. More notable movies filmed at Bouzov include Young Indiana Jones and the Italian series, The Cave of the Golden Rose, while over 20 Czech historical movies and fairytales have been filmed in this spectacular Teutonic castle. Once the battlements, drawbridges, bay windows and gargoyles come into view, the reasons for its popularity become clear-cut. Visitors can admire the spectacular exterior and soak up the atmosphere of the times before venturing inside to view the fully furnished interior — mostly provided from the private collection of Archduke Eugene Habsburg and the Teutonic Order — and the Gothic chapel featuring an altar and decorated gravestones dating back to 1395.
