Grandad Bluff

Rising 590 feet above its surroundings, Grandad Bluff is the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs and survey the area when you’re passing by La Crosse. After a relatively short hike (a bit over a mile), you’ll reach a viewing platform where you can look down on La Crosse, and across Minnesota to the west and Iowa to the south. Along with the main hike to the viewing platform, there’s a number of bluffside hiking trails that will bring you around the rugged rock face.
