The drive is only about 3.5 hours, however youâll want to make detours to see the smaller cities and unique local heritage sites. Make the most of your time, and the limited daylight during the colder months, by leaving Munich early in the morning.
Pack most of your bags the night before and lay out your outfit for the morning to avoid last-minute chaos. Plan an early start to the trip, and make sure to have a smaller bag with you with water, sunglasses, a camera, and anything else you may need for the trip.
### Check the criteria for visiting Dachau
The Dachau concentration camp memorial is right outside of Munich and is one of the stops offered by Daytrip. The Uetliberg area offers scenic viewpoints and natural trails that are open year-round, but take some precautions if you are not as experienced at hiking in winter.

âWe had our flight on Wednesday cancelled on Tuesdays night out of Munich. We had a mad dash to find another flight home and found one out of Zurich. I booked this car in the middle of the night for that morning hoping for the best. I have to say that the car, the driver, the ride were just amazing. It was easy - he was on time - the car was very comfortable, his driving was smooth and he was friendly and pleasant. It was a great experience and I wouldn't change a thing - maybe
having water available? But that would be an addition to services and not required - only thing I can think of to make things better.

âWe had a great experience with daytrip.com. We requested a ride from Zurich to Munich with a stop at the Neuschwanstein Castle. Ondrej, our driver, was fantastic. He was punctual, the car was clean, and he was flexible. He helped us with our luggage at our hotel in Zurich and he personally walked us into our hotel in Munich. I would highly recommend this service and Ondrej as a driver! We will definitely use day trip.com on our next visit to Europe! Itâs a great way to travel between destinations!â

âI planned my trip early since we were visiting several cities. Team Daytrip was very helpful in creating an itinerary that was ideal for my family. Ashley was very organized and prompt in answering. We were picked up from Zurich to Munich, Munich To Prague and Prague to Berlin. Service was very punctual and the drivers were very friendly and accommodating. We left each city at the time convenient for us. We had a great time. Its a different way to travel Europe. You get to see wonderful gems you would never get to see when you travel by train or air. So stress free. If your like me, who hates rushing to an airport, worrying about luggage weight, waiting around for your flight which may be delayed, this is a much better way to go. Its the same price as flying but definitely a more sophisticated way to travel.â
