This perfectly maintained garden makes it easy to experience the unique ecosystem and endangered flora of the UNESCO-listed Blue Mountains.
The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden is a slice of eden high up in the UNESCO-listed Blue Mountains. At 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) AHD (Australia's version of sea level), the gardens are home to species from around the world, though indigenous flora like the critically endangered wollemi pine take center stage. The gardens and reserve are split into 28 hectares of curated gardens with another 244 hectares of wilderness. As part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, they're protected and beautifully maintained. These gardens are also great for bird watching, with about 150 species of birds living in the gardens, make sure to bring your binoculars! Explore the various types of gardens for a relaxing trip among the trees.
