This ethereal waterfall emerges from a lush wet forest.
Erskine Falls materializes through a dense canopy of trees and delicately cascades into a lush fern-filled gully. The upper falls viewing platform can be reached via a paved footpath and is a quick five-minute jaunt from the nearby carpark. The lower falls viewing platform is accessed by following some 240 steps down to the base where the falls splash into a rocky river. For those up for a challenge, the 7.5-kilometer Erskine River Track follows the river from the base of the Erskine Falls and passes Straw Falls and Splitter Falls before reaching the city of Lorne. This one-way track takes around three hours to complete. If water levels are high, the track should not be attempted.
