Authentic 19th century houses preserve a slice of tradition of the Serbian countryside life.
Surrounded by mountainous meadows, this ethno village seems to be stuck in time. The 19th century houses were collected from around the region and relocated to Sirogojno, creating genuine mountain village. After seeing the rural homes, church, stable and barn, visitors can tour the distillery for making Serbian ‘rakija’, the “mišana” for plum drying, and various other buildings specializing in craft production. After you’ve built up an appetite from walking around, the on site restaurant serves up traditional Serbian fare. For a more permanent souvenir, hand-knit sweaters are also sold on site.
