This historical site offers a unique glimpse into a pivotal moment in Islamic history that has carried the message of peace into the present day
Located on the outskirts of the sacred city of Makkah, the lesser-known but historically significant Masjid Hudaibiyah Mosque stands as a testament to an important moment in Islamic history. The mosque marks the location where a peace treaty, the Treaty of Hudaibiyah, was signed between Prophet Muhammad and the Quraysh tribe of Makkah. The treaty's significance transcends its historical context, symbolizing the belief that war isn’t always the solution, a principle that helped fortify the Islamic community in its early days and establish Islam in the Arabian Peninsula. Today, Masjid Hudaibiyah serves as a focal point for pilgrims. The newly constructed structure, together with the remains of the old mosque, functions as one of the Miqat lines, a significant location for those performing the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages. Please note that Daytrip does not guarantee the mosque will be open at the time of visit nor that there will be any entrance fees. We kindly ask you to verify this information separately.
