Cayman Islands
A vibrant oasis awaits visitors of this lake-centric botanical park, and it's also home to Grand Cayman’s rarest resident.
A lush, tropical garden surrounds a two-acre lake habitat, fostering an abundance of wildlife and offering visitors unmatched scenery for a morning stroll. This Botanic Park is home to a range of rare aquatic birds and animals, including the endangered Grand Cayman Blue Iguana. Visitors can enjoy exploring the many different trails and gardens, including a Woodland Trail, an Orchid Boardwalk, and a Floral Garden. Inside the visitors center, there is more information on display about the conservation efforts taking place around the park and in the Cayman Islands. The center is also the site of the Blue Iguana Conservation Facility, which aims to protect and breed these incredible creatures that are found only on Grand Cayman Island. This is a great excursion for the whole family, and if you’re lucky enough you may even spot one of the rare Blue Iguanas yourself. Plan your visit: https://www.botanic-park.ky/
