1 nov 2024“All three of our Daytrip private transportation arrangements were excellent. The drivers were very professional and very knowledgeable. Daytrip does a great job in selecting its drivers, organizing the routes, and provided a high quality of service at a reasonable cost. Daytrip is not Uber, it is many grade levels abover what you get from Uber which is geared to local short trips. Daytrip can drive you anywhere in Europe and helps avoid taking multiple trains and planes carrying your luggage everywhere. Daytrip was fantastic in planning and getting us from each destination. Our first trip was Munich Airport to Fussen, followed by Fussen to Rothenberg, and lastly rothenberg to Frankfurt Airport. We were impressed with their planning and keeping in touch with us to let us know who the driver would be and to re-confirm the time for pickup. That type of information made me feel comfortable that a driver would be waiting for us. The drivers were very cordial, knowledgeable, and gave us great confidence in their ability to get us where we were going. What was also impressive was that some of the drivers had traveled to where we were going the day before or had been to the location in the past, so we had no concerns they knew what they were doing. Daytrip is a great company and very competent in what it is doing. We look forward to using them on future trips since all their planning makes our traveling much easier on us. I already recommended Daytrip to a friend who used the service in Europe while we were there.”

19 jul 2019“Using Daytrip in Switzerland and Germany proved to be such a great experience. We hired Daytrip on two separate occasions, from Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland to Fussen, Germany and from Fussen, Germany to Munich, Germany. Both drivers were very punctual, spoke excellent english, and provided outstanding customer service. I actually broke my arm in Germany and had to stay two nights in a hospital. Daytrip was so good about refunding my money for the trip from Fussen to Austria that we did not get to take. After I was released from the hospital, they were outstanding in providing a driver from Fussen to Germany. Her name was Marjut and she was like having our own personal tour guide. She knew so much history and was great at telling us where to eat, customs we may need to know about in Germany, and she made sure we were checked into our hotel and had directions to a great beer garden in Munich. She went above and beyond to make our day trip spectacular. I will most certainly use them again when returning to Europe!”

4 jul 2019All Daytrip drivers speak English* as well as their native language (and sometimes additional languages too!). They'll be happy to discuss local history and culture with you, as well as answer any questions you may have. And because they speak the language, they're able to provide you with a unique opportunity to connect with local culture. *Drivers for Lite service aren't required to speak English but must meet all other standards.
We screen all our drivers for criminal and traffic records, and personally interview each one. We also inspect their cars for safety, comfort, and reliability. All cars must be less than ten years old, in excellent operating condition, and insured as required by local law. And because our drivers are locals, they're familiar with the rules and customs of the road.
If you’re traveling with children, make sure to let us know in the booking so we can get the appropriate child seats ready!
Pets are allowed (and loved)! We just need to know beforehand. You can tell us about them in the next phase of the booking.
Gratuity isn’t included or required, but if you really enjoyed your trip, you can show your driver your appreciation with an optional tip (10% is sufficient).
Each passenger is allowed to have one checked bag and one carry on. If you’re traveling with more bags or oversized luggage, you can adjust this while booking.
Pay by credit card online, or in cash directly to your driver!
Every traveler deserves real insight into the cultures of the countries they’re visiting. And every amazing place on Earth deserves to be visited and appreciated. We believe unique local knowledge and real human connection are irreplaceable when it comes to truly comprehending another culture.
