The constant turning of this Welsh mill wheel produces flour using traditional techniques and offers a window into the past
Bracketed on either side by the impressive Valle Hermoso and Mount Gorsedd, the Nant Fach Mill Museum pays tribute to the period of Welsh colonization. Here, replicas of the antique flour mills used by families as well as large-scale industries offer visitors a glimpse into the past. The mills are even still functional, with the active processing of wheat creating flour in the same, traditional methods that would have been used hundreds of years ago. The museum portion of Nant Fach also exhibits a traditional Welsh home from this era, displaying period-appropriate machinery and household objects such as musical instruments and sewing machines. Visitors will even have the opportunity to purchase some of the flour crafted here, a one-of-a-kind souvenir from the past. Visitors do not need to book in advance, and one-hour guided tours can be purchased on arrival.
