If you have a love for lavender then you canโ€™t be in this area of Provence and not pay the Lavender Museum a visit. Lavender and its products have been produced here since the 16th century, and in this old Provenรงal stone house, you can see a vast collection of artifacts, photographs, and informative displays as to all the processes and uses connected to this amazing plant. There is a beautiful documentary shot on the familyโ€™s Le Chรขteau du Bois estate that follows a season, from the cultivation of lavender to the creation of the associated products. Although guided tours are for groups only, excellent audio guides are issued on entry in 11 foreign languages. The tour can take up to 2 hours and at the end you can sample some of the products in the shop, including lavender tea.
