Tour the Hassan II Mosque
The Hassan II Mosque was completed in 1993 and is one of the largest mosques in the world. It also has the tallest minaret in the world, at 689 feet (210 meters). The sand-colored walls with turquoise and green mosaic detailing against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean are a must-see while in Casablanca.
Non-Muslims are welcome to tour the mosque in between prayer times. Wear shoes you can take off easily, as there are sections in which you cannot wear shoes. After your tour, the promenade around the mosque is full of locals and the sea breeze off the coast is a great reprieve from the warm weather.
### See a bit of Hollywood at Rickâs CafeCasablanca is a classic romantic drama film released in 1942, set in the city of Casablanca during World War II. Although it was not filmed here, you can visit this fun replica of the cafe backdrop from the movie. Great for Instagram!

âVi visste inte vad vi skulle förvĂ€nta oss av denna resa och bokade frĂ„n Australien. Vi letade frĂ„n början efter ett enkelt sĂ€tt att resa frĂ„n Granada till Malaga. Vi bestĂ€mde oss för att inte missa möjligheten att se nĂ„got extra pĂ„ vĂ€gen. Miguel övertrĂ€ffade verkligen vĂ„ra förvĂ€ntningar. Hans engelska var utmĂ€rkt (tyvĂ€rr talar vi mycket lite spanska), och han var mycket vĂ€nlig och hjĂ€lpsam. âWe needed to get from Casablanca to Fes and considered the train, taxi and private transport. We were staying at the Four Seasons and the service they called for a private car was very expensive. I looked on tripadvisor and found Daytrip. Daytrip was half the cost of the other estimate. The young men who picked us up were polite and very professional. Since the service was so inexpensive we added a stop in Rabat for some sightseeing. Daytrip will be my first call for future travel needs.â
