Yes, swimming is the main attraction at Cenote Yokdzonot, and the cool, fresh water is wonderfully refreshing in the Yucatan heat. Life jackets are provided and required for all swimmers, making it safe even for those who aren't strong swimmers. The cenote has a maximum depth of around 130 feet (40 meters), but most visitors stay near the platform area. There's also a small jumping platform for the more adventurous.
Cenote Yokdzonot is suitable for families with children who can swim or are comfortable wearing a life jacket, which is required for everyone. The site has shallower areas near the platform where younger swimmers can enjoy the water under supervision. Children typically love spotting the fish and tropical birds. The on-site restaurant and clean facilities also make it convenient for families spending a few hours at the cenote.
The driving distance from Puerto Aventuras to Cenote Yokdzonot is about 162 miles (261 km), with a one-way drive of roughly 2 hours and 45 minutes. The complete day trip lasts around 7 hours and 15 minutes, which includes 2 hours of swimming and exploring at the cenote. The journey takes you inland through the Yucatan Peninsula's distinctive jungle landscape.

Cenote Yokdzonot is a stunning open-air cenote located in a small Yucatan village near Chichen Itza.
