There is no train station in Positano, so you’ll first need to take a bus or taxi (or Amalfi-based ferry in the summer) to Sorrento. Once there, you can buy tickets at the station for the Circumvesuviana train. The total trip price is about $17-$24 (€15-22). You’ll then need to get from the station to your hotel.

Positano to Naples by Bus

No buses go directly from Positano to Naples. First, you need to take a bus to Sorrento. The Sita bus company runs from 7:25 AM to 7:40 PM and takes about 45 minutes. Tickets cost between €10 and €12 EUR and can be purchased at local cigarette shops and newspaper stands. Once you reach Sorrento, you can buy a bus ticket to Naples. If you’re heading directly to Naples Airport, the Curreri Viaggi shuttle service offers buses from Sorrento’s main station to the P1 parking area at Naples Airport for 10 euros. These buses leave every 2 hours from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, except for Christmas and New Year. You’ll need to purchase your ticket on their website in advance to ensure a seat.

Positano to Naples by Ferry/Hydrofoil

Like every other public transport option, there is no direct ferry from Positano to Naples. In the summer, you can get a ferry from Positano to Sorrento for about 20 EUR. From Sorrento, the Alilauro Hydrofoil will take you to the Moro Beverello Pier in Naples for just 13.10 EUR. The Hydrofoil runs regularly between Sorrento and Naples but the schedule is dependent on the season.

Positano to Naples Shuttle

While there are no public transportation options directly from Positano to Naples, Daytrip offers a shared shuttle for budget-minded travelers. Wir haben diesen Ausflug im Voraus arrangiert, und es hat sich sehr gelohnt und war jede Minute wert. Alfonso gab mir viele touristische Informationen, sodass ich fundierte Entscheidungen treffen konnte. Ich habe den Vormittag wirklich genossen!”

“Ich habe einen Fehler gemacht, als ich meinen Zug von Neapel nach Lucca buchte. Wir nutzten Daytrip, um einen Transfer von Positano, Italien, nach Neapel zu buchen, um unseren Zug zu erreichen. Alfonso Sorrentino bekommt 5 Sterne!

“Wir nutzten Daytrip, um von Neapel nach Positano mit einem Zwischenstopp in Pompeji zu fahren. Unser Fahrer, Alfonso, war der perfekte Reiseführer. Er kam pünktlich in einem neuen, sauberen Van an. Alfonso sprach sehr gut Englisch, war freundlich und teilte sein Wissen über die Gegend. Er brachte sogar Regenausrüstung mit, sodass wir bei der Besichtigung von Pompeji nicht durchnässt wurden. Außerdem schlug er uns ein wundervolles Weingut zum Mittagessen vor, wo wir lokale Küche und köstlichen Wein einer familiengeführten Farm probierten. Es war eine wunderbare Erfahrung, und wir werden diesen Service wieder nutzen!”

Die besten Fahrer – Neapel nach Positano und zurück

“Wir hatten einen privaten Transfer von Neapel nach Positano und auch von Positano nach Neapel auf unserer Italienreise. Beide unserer Fahrer, Francesco und Alfonzo, waren absolut unglaublich. Ich muss jedoch Alfonzo besonders hervorheben, da er überaus entgegenkommend war. Unser ursprünglicher Fahrer konnte uns aufgrund eines schlimmen Autounfalls, der die Küstenstraße für Stunden blockierte, nicht rechtzeitig in Positano abholen. Unser ursprünglicher Fahrer arbeitete mit Alfonzo zusammen, der zufällig in der Gegend war, um ein anderes Paar abzuholen. Er ging über sich hinaus, um uns abzuholen, und die Lösung war bereits in Gang, bevor wir überhaupt wussten, dass es ein Problem gab! Alfonzo war der beste Reiseführer während der gesamten Reise und war sehr kenntnisreich und stolz auf sein Land, was wir liebten. Aber sein schnelles Denken und seine Flexibilität retteten uns vor einem stornierten Flug! Vielen Dank, Alfonzo und Team!”

Neapel nach Positano und zurück, fantastische Erfahrung

“Daytrip war eine fantastische Erfahrung, die meine Frau und ich genossen haben, und ich wurde ursprünglich von einem Freund darauf aufmerksam gemacht. Die Kommunikation mit dem Unternehmen war fantastisch, da sie uns E-Mails über Fahrerwechsel, Autoinformationen und Telefonnummern schickten. Sie senden Ihnen auch Anweisungen und ein Bild des Abholortes am Napoli Centrale-Bahnhof. Wir hatten Mirko beim ersten Mal und er war sehr nett und freundlich. Beim zweiten Mal hatten wir Alfonso, und er war phänomenal! Er sang ein italienisches Lied im Auto, beantwortete unsere Fragen zum Pasta-Herstellungsprozess und warum Italiener ihre Pasta al dente essen. Er war stolz darauf, aus der Gegend von Neapel zu stammen und sagte, sie hätten die besten Tomaten der Welt. Die Fahrt war voller Lachen und Informationen. Grazie Mille, Daytrip!”

Einfacher und wundervoller Service

“Unglaublich bequem! Wir dachten zuerst daran, mit dem Zug zwischen den Städten (Positano nach Neapel) zu fahren, aber als wir über Taxis und Züge nachdachten, empfahl uns ein Paar, diesen Service zu nutzen, um einen Fahrer zu haben, und das war die BESTE Entscheidung. Der Fahrer war der netteste Kerl, und das Auto war sehr komfortabel. Sehr empfehlenswert!!!!!”

“Pascale O war unser Fahrer. Er ist in Pompeji aufgewachsen und war voller Wissen und Ratschläge. Er war pünktlich und hatte ein komfortables Fahrzeug. Wir zahlten 190 Euro für 5 Personen, was im Vergleich zu anderen Unternehmen in der Region angemessen war. Er holte uns um 9 Uhr morgens ab, und wir kamen gegen 12:30 Uhr in Neapel an, nach einem Stopp in Pompeji.”
