This educational center is famous for its colonial architecture, filled with stunning villas, whose murals always make a striking impression. First, stop by Casa del Fundador Gonzalo Suarez Rendon and walk through the patio, adorned with beautiful flowers. Tour the rooms and see some of the intricately painted ceilings that were discovered when a false ceiling collapsed. Next, visit the astonishing Templo de Santo Domingo, plated with red and gold, this church surprises all who enter. Then, tour the 16th century convent Capilla y Museo de Santa Clara La Real, and hear the story of Colombia’s version of Mother Teresa, Madre Francisca Josefa, as this was her home in the 17th century. This convent is usually locked, so you will need to knock on the door to get in!
