Chapman’s Peak Drive is about 56 miles (9 km) long, hugging a mountainside above the Atlantic’s crashing waves. This gravity-defying road offers some of the most dramatic views in the world, with plenty of pull-off viewpoints for photography. There are also charming sites on either end of the route, with Noordhoek Beach’s uninterrupted white sands at the southern end, and Hout Bay, a quaint harbor town, at the northern end. Note: While Daytrip’s professional drivers do everything in their power to ensure a smooth ride, this road features over 114 curves, so travelers prone to motion sickness may want to skip this stop or prepare accordingly.
