Built by the Thai army with the aid of a vast number of donors, the 7 Kings of Siam Statues depict some of the greatest and most beloved monarchs in the countries history - from the 13th century King Ramkhamhaeng the Great, who invented the Thai alphabet, to the modern King Chulalongkorn the Great, who modernized Siam and abolished slavery. Surrounded by a manicured park, this imposing pantheon of kings is accompanied by a museum where visitors can learn more about the Thai royal history. Please note: the monument is only open during daylight hours.
