Piedra Pintada, a beautiful family-friendly park, offers a variety of outdoor attractions such as an ecological reserve, camping spaces, mobile grills for a small picnic, and even swimming pools to relieve you of the summer heat. But, the most notable attraction is the Piedra Pintada, or painted rock. This large stone is formed by basalt, which has taken the blackish color from the volcanic stone that creates the surface of Artigas. With red and greenish spots from the subsoil sandstone that has evolved over time.
