Valley of Beautiful Women in Eger

Just outside one of Hungary's biggest cities - Eger lies the so-called Valley of Beautiful Women. While the catchy name will stop at least some on their journeys, the products made here should convince everyone that a small detour is in order. The valley is covered with vineyards, featuring dozens of small wineries and cellars. Visitors can taste their way through this piece of land and enjoy a wine-oriented shopping spree. Make sure to sample Egri Bikaver - Bull's blood (yes, we know, Hungarian names can be a bit "special" at times), a great local red wine. Along with the wines, the valley serves up some delicious Hungarian specialities and an assortment cheeses.
