Just a few minutes from the Bauhaus School Building is the Mesterhaus Colony. Many of these Master’s Houses were destroyed in WWII, but a few have been reconstructed. Travelers can visit one original home, which belonged to Feininger, as well as two reconstructions: the Kandinsky/Klee and Muche/Schlemmer houses. The houses highlight how the Bauhaus masters lived in line with their principles, and each features modernist landscaping and sleek, functional furniture.
