Agros

Built in a natural amphitheater in the Troodos mountains, Agros is one of the best places in Cyprus to immerse yourself in rural life. Famous for its roses, rosewater, cured meats, marmalades, and sweets, and the many workshops are open to visitors to see their traditional production techniques. Aside from the many treats to indulge in, Argos is also known for its many historic churches. Chief among these is the Church of Panagia Eleousa, which was built on the site of the medieval monastery the village formed around. Nearby, the Museum Fragoulides is dedicated to one of Cyprus’ pioneering modern artists, Solomos Fragoulides.
