Mexico
This eco-park offers one of the best cave walks in the world, a subterranean swimming hole, and jungle ziplines.
Aktun Chen might not be the largest eco-park in Mexico, but it offers a wide variety of activities for nature lovers. The main attraction is the park’s 5-million year old cave, which is filled with such stunning stalactites and stalagmites, bizarre columns, and cascading curtains that National Geographic named it one of the 10 Best Underground Walkways in the World. Afterwards, you can swim with the fishes in the bright blue waters of the park’s underground cenote. Above ground, the large eco-park is home to a variety of local flora and fauna including adorable spider monkeys, Coatimundis, Kinkajous, and Tall Tail deer, while the exhilarating zip line lets you fly through the jungle like one of the park’s many tropical birds.
