About
Al Hayl Castle was built around 1830 by the ruling family of Fujairah to keep watch over the area. The mud-brick and plaster offers a good example of traditional architecture, and while there’s not much inside the fort, its hilltop position does provide some fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and palm-filled valley.
