Jubail is on the map as the largest civil engineering project globally, but it offers so much more beyond that. Along with producing 2743.6MW of electricity and 800,000 m3 of water daily, and contributing around 7% to the nation’s Gross Domestic Product, Jubail has a rich historical background. The Old Town originated as a modest fishing village until 1975, and the whole city’s roots can be traced back centuries to the ancient Dilmun civilisation who were renowned for their maritime trade and commerce. Despite its harsh desert climate, Jubail has transformed itself into a modern, livable city. Visit the vibrant marketplace known as the International Market, along with several malls such as Fanateer Mall, Galleria Mall and Jubal Center Mall. Fanateer Beach is one of the city’s top destinations, with palm-lined walkways providing an ideal setting for a leisurely stroll. Corniche Jubail is a must-visit spot, with a 2.5 kilometer-long promenade for joggers, runners, and playgrounds for children, all while providing breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf.
