The Angkor Silk Farm is maintained by Siem Reap’s famed Les Chantiers Écoles, a school that teaches traditional crafts to impoverished young Cambodians. They’ve had great success in restoring Cambodia’s artisan industry, as the Angkor Silk Farm produces some of the finest silk in the country. A free tour teaches visitors about every stage of silk production, from the cultivation of mulberry trees and the nurturing of silkworms to the dyeing and weaving of silk.
