Latvia
This museum gives visitors a look at the history of automobiles in Latvia and a taste of life in the countryside.
For years, a large collection of unrestored vehicles belonging to the Riga Motor Museum were kept in a neglected Soviet-era warehouse in Bauska. Despite the conditions, visitors still flocked to see these automotive relics, so in 2011, the building and its vintage vehicles were restored and opened as the Bauska Motor Museum. Now visitors can admire a variety of vintage vehicles, from an overview of Latvian auto history, to classic farm machinery, and Soviet-era cars designed for riding in the countryside. Upstairs, visitors can get a taste of rural life in the restored artisan`s workshop and the interior of a classic rural home.
