Sometimes affectionately referred to as “The Venice of Vojvodina” thanks to its location in the ravine of the Nera River, this stunning town is encased in natural beauty and features rows of Baroque buildings, plenty of green space, and excellent wineries. The town is free of large industrial buildings, maintaining the charming historical atmosphere with small homes and its iconic old central church. In the past, the town found its economic footing in agriculture and silk production, both of which are still evident today. The incredibly fertile lands here are punctuated by eight glittering lakes and the foothills of the Carpathian mountains, presenting plenty of hiking and swimming opportunities.
