Bermuda
Step into an enchanted world of lush nature, magical biodiversity, and serene landscapes, enhanced by sweet smells and vibrant colors
Bermuda Botanical Gardens is a stunning 36-acre green sanctuary nestled in Paget Parish nearby Hamilton. Steeped in a rich heritage dating back to 1898, this verdant oasis has, for over a century, been a favorite retreat for those seeking serenity amidst lush flora. The Gardens are filled with a diverse assortment of flowers such as roses, frangipani, hibiscus, lilies, freesias, orchids, bird of paradise, or dahlias; its thematic corners include the fruit, palm, succulent, butterfly or maze gardens. Visitors can stroll under the shade of mighty banyan trees and cedars, or visit an aviary that is home to a range of birds including peacocks and ducks. Visually impaired visitors are welcome to check out the sensory garden filled with fragrant blooms and herbs. The Gardens' charm is enhanced by Camden, the colonial-style official residence of Bermuda's Premier that houses a collection of art and antiques. The Visitors Center includes a cafe and a gift shop, although we recommend checking ahead as some sections or facilities of the garden may be temporarily closed.
