Sunshine, aviation, parks, history, and lots and lots of great wine!
Blenheim is the principal town in the Marlborough region, which produces 75% of the country’s wine. Good wine comes with good food and Blenheim is no different, from great little cafes to fine restaurants to “world famous pies” to choose from. Possibly the town's best attraction is the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre, which features filmmaker Peter Jackson’s personal collection of WWI aircraft and artifacts, and the story of aviation during the Great War brought to life by the famous visual effects studio Weta Workshop. On one of the many sunny days the neat and tidy parks make for great places to relax and maybe have a picnic, from the clocktower adorned Seymour Square, to the Japanese themed Harling Park, or the winding Riverside Park and the chance to dip your feet on a hot day.
