Bermuda
Bermuda might be known for its picture-perfect beaches, but this natural landmark presents a unique opportunity to discover the island’s lush wilderness
Better known as Tom Moore's Jungle or Walsingham Nature Reserve, this natural wonder is located in Hamilton Parish, spreading across 12 acres. The site poses as a somewhat unusual natural attraction for Bermuda, containing dense woodlands, caves, grottos, and natural pools. The highlight of the site is the mangrove pond - the Blue Hole itself - filled with crystal clear water. The park has picnic tables and benches to catch a breath, and an observation tower to watch the local birds. Some of the park’s many caves, in particular, Walsingham Cave, are sites for adventurous exploration. Fun fact: the park is known as Tom Moore's Jungle among the locals because this is where Irish poet Thomas Moore wrote some of his famous verses during his time on Bermuda. Please note that the park is open from sunrise to sunset daily, and entrance is free of charge.
