One of the most convenient and beloved sites in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Brandywine Falls is the go-to destination for a bit of nature. Just a short walk from the parking lot brings you to a viewing platform where you can watch the water cascade over a 60-foot rock face. And a nearby staircase brings you down to the base of the falls, so you can enjoy the view from below. Or follow the 1.5 mile Brandywine Gorge Trail to get great views of the waterfall and venture into the picturesque forested gorge. Aside from its accessibility, another reason Brandywine Falls is so popular is that it changes with the seasons. Heavy flow in Spring creates pools for breeding salamanders, while drying months turn the falls into a delicate bridal veil, Fall sees an explosions of colorful foliage, and ice becomes the Winter attraction.
