The Bsous Silk Museum, located in the picturesque town of Bsous near Wadi Chahrour, Lebanon, offers a captivating journey into the world of silk production and trade. Visitors can witness the fascinating transformation from cocoon to exquisite fabric. The exhibits also feature traditional Lebanese evening dresses and silk trousers that were once worn by royalty in the nineteenth century. A dedicated wing showcases eastern silk and gold, while another displays the treasures of the Bags Antaki family from Aleppo, dating back to the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Additionally, the museum offers glimpses into the lives of silk farmers and the intricate process of silkworm collection. Set amidst olive groves, stone terraces, and gardens, the Silk Museum invites visitors to explore the historical silk routes, including the renowned Silk Road, and the exchanges between the East and the West. The museum is open daily, except Mondays, welcoming visitors from 10AM to 6PM.
