What could be more epic than swinging from a treehouse placed strategically so that you dangle directly over a volcano, while gazing over the precipitous drop?
As you may have already seen pictures from this spot all over the internet, this is the perfect opportunity to do the same and boast to all of your friends. “Casa del Arbol” refers to the tree holding this structure, which also contains a seismic monitoring device to follow the activities of the active volcano below. This small park not only has a few swings, but it includes a zipline for those of you who are looking for a bit of adventure. Note that when you pull up to this park, Casa de Arbol is not to be confused with the first treehouse you come across; it is actually at the end of a small trail on the opposite side of the hill. For a small entry fee of less than 2 EUR, you can access the entire park and have a few hours of hiking, swinging, and ziplining to break up your trip.
