Specializing in raptor rehabilitation, the Cascades Raptor Center is home (and hospital) to around 40 birds of prey from roughly 30 different species. Housed in large outdoor aviaries, this vast wooded property has a collection of resident raptors as well as temporary patients. Owls, eagles, vultures and more pass through the center after facing injury from car accidents, accidental tanglings and even shootings. Some are just under the weather! The expert veterinarians provide emergency medical procedures, conscientious aftercare and rehabilitate these raptors back to health. Specialist dietary care and physical therapy is given until they face the final, biggest decision: is the bird healthy enough to be released back to the wild?
