The set of La Regle Du Jeu, this stunning Château has been converted into a series of exciting escape rooms.
This charming Château and its sprawling grounds were the backdrop for Jean Renoir’s classic film, La Regle Du Jeu. The comedy follows a group of aristocrats and their servants on a hunting weekend and uses satirical writing to explore their relationships. The movie was actually thought to be lost during WWII when a bombing raid damaged the film reel, but in 1961 the project was successfully restored. Today, visitors can explore the majestic country estate and learn more about the 17th-century life of the French aristocracy. There are exhibits featuring antique toys and daily household objects, as well as games from the era and on occasion, cooking demonstrations. Recently, the property has rebranded as Château Escape Game, and several rooms have been converted to challenging puzzle-based escape rooms. Visitors should book their tickets in advance directly through the Château website: https://www.chateau-ferte.com/en/
