Cheetah Conservation Fund

Through research, education, and up-close experiences, this organization is spreading cheetah love.

About

Cheetah Conservation Fund was founded in 1990 to save one of Africa’s most iconic animals. Despite being a household name, the world’s fastest land animal has seen its population decline by 90% in the past century. The CCF field base is open to the public 364 days a year, letting visitors interact with scientists to learn about cheetahs and the organization’s conservation efforts, such as livestock guarding dogs. This intimate experience has paid off - from viewing the big cats as pests, Namibia now proudly proclaims itself the “cheetah capital of the world”. Along with a tour of the facilities, visitors can also join a safari, watch the cats’ morning exercise, or see their afternoon feeding. For more information, please visit cheetahecolodge.com
