The Cherokee Heritage Centre was founded by the Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation in the 1960s on the site of a 19th century Cherokee gathering place. This museum that preserves their culture, tradition, and history, and proudly shares it with visitors. Go to the Ancient Village, a recreation of an 18th century traditional Cherokee township, where you can experience their traditional way of life. Explore the council house, a brush arbor, and even watch demonstrations of Native American crafts and religious practices!
