Chitose Shrine is located in the tranquil Aoba Park in Chitose, first originating in 1658 and built in 1803. Stroll through the serene park and climb up the stone steps to find the shine, peacefully situated next to the Chitose River. The shrine made from beautiful dark wood stands out against the forested landscape, a picturesque sight to behold. The gods of food and water are enshrined here, believed to help business owners. The shrine is known for its divine spring waters called Sachii no Mizu (water of happiness) that flow out from 57 meters below ground, thought to bring luck to those who drink it, which you can try during your time here. Stroll around the quiet shrine grounds, take in the peaceful and powerful atmosphere, and enjoy the panoramic views of the river and park during your visit.
