Coral Bay

From relaxing on the beach to swimming with the biggest fish in the world, this is a prime destination for enjoying the wonders of the west coast.

About

Apart from having almost year-round beach weather and some great facilities in the small town, Coral Bay is also home to one of the largest fringing coral reefs in the world. It's also easily accessible, which is why Coral Bay has long been a destination for snorkeling and diving. But if you prefer to stay dry, you can see life on the reef from a glass-bottomed boat. Among the fauna you can see and swim with are giant turtles and manta rays, but the biggest and best are the harmless whale sharks. These 15 metre behemoths - they are the largest fish in the world. Humpback whales can be seen migrating here between June to November. If you’re into game fishing then there are multiple great tours and hires available.
