Cueva de Saturno

The Cueva de Saturno is the perfect place to cool off if you need a break from the Caribbean sun. Walk in the shade of tropical trees until you reach the mouth of this cenote. Stairs descend into a stalactite and stalagmite-filled cavern where crystal clear water fills a 20-meter deep pool. Take a swim in the subterranean shade, keeping an eye out for the blind cave fish and shrimp that dart through the water. When you’re done, there’s a snack bar offering food and drink where you can relax and take in the view of the cave.
