Cyprus
Race through automotive history at this surprisingly extensive museum.
Cyprus isn't known for its automotive industry, so the Cyprus Car Museum in the Near East University’s campus is a hidden gem for auto enthusiasts. The collection spans 5,000 pieces, tracing the evolution of the automobile industry, featuring cars from the late 19th century up to the latest technological models. From luxury vehicles such as Bentleys, Porsches, Cadillacs, or Jaguars, to working-man's trucks, there's a bit of everything. The museum’s staff takes great care to maintain and renovate all vehicles on display, ensuring that every single one is kept in roadworthy condition. In fact, some can even be seen in classic car rallies held on the island. To add to its charm, the museum is also adorned with art pieces created by the faculty of fine arts.
