Dominican Republic
Climb, slosh, slide, and splash your way through a series of waterfalls at the Dominican Republic’s premier eco-adventure.
Damajagua, also known as the 27 Waterfalls, is one of the most exciting eco adventures in the Dominican Republic. Join a guided excursion up a river ravine cutting through lush jungle before starting your exciting descent that will have you jumping and sliding down waterfalls into pools of refreshing mountain water. The highest jump is about 25 feet, but fortunately there is a staircase to bypass it if you’re not ready to take the plunge. Please note: it’s highly recommended to wear shorts and closed toe shoes as you’ll be hiking up and sliding down rocks. Tour operator policy states this stop isn’t appropriate for guests who have had recent surgery (less than 6 months), pregnant women, heart or respiratory conditions, back, neck or knee problems and guests under any medication that carries a warning of any mental or physical impairment.
