It's 9th December 1944 and the Soviet's Union Red Army has made a massive push into Slovakia during the recent months, now approaching the city of Košice when it hits stiff defenses of the German army in the Dragov pass. The Soviet officers through their army to bring the Germans to their knees within hours, however, this clash lasted for 40 days. 20 000 Red army soldiers died during this time. Today, this serene and calm country-side reminds the heroism of the fallen with large stone memorial.
