Dian Al-Mahri Mosque

This magnificent place of worship attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists and locals alike, drawn to the mosque by its stunning golden domes.

About

The Dian Al-Mahri Mosque, situated on the edge of Raya Street in Depok City, is hailed as one of the largest mosques in Southeast Asia. Spanning an expansive 50 hectares, its prayer hall has a capacity of approximately 20,000 worshipers. The mosque boasts three domes, all of which are coated with a layer of gold measuring two to three millimeters thick, adorned with intricate crystal mosaics, making it a luxurious and captivating sight to behold. The shape of the main dome even bears a striking resemblance to the iconic dome of the Taj Mahal in India. Inside, you’ll find exquisite chandeliers imported directly from Italy and a monochromatic prayer hall crafted from Turkish and Italian marble. Outside, the mosque is surrounded by lush fruit trees and a serene environment in which to worship or relax. Admission to the mosque is free.
