Situated in the heart of the Florida Keys is the Dolphin Research Center, a sanctuary dedicated to providing a natural home for dolphins and sea lions to be cared for and researched. Founded in 1984, it is one of the oldest centers in the Florida Keys! Visitors have the opportunity to not only learn about these majestic marine mammals but also to get up close in interactive experiences. Get to know all about the dolphins and sea lions and their care, training, and behaviors in live educational presentations. You can also book once-in-a-lifetime encounters with the dolphins, including swimming and even painting with them! The center is open daily between 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and closed on Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Entrance tickets are not included in our price and must be purchased separately. General admission tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the site.
