Dorrigo National Park is just an hour from bustling Coffs Harbour but feels like an eternity as you enter this serene, natural paradise. One of the highlights is Crystal Shower Falls, a pretty waterfall surrounded by lush vegetation and the 2 hour return trail takes you directly behind the drop. The Red Cedar Falls track is also around 2 hours return and is not for the faint of heart; it’s strenuous, not to mention steep, but the reward outweighs this as you observe the towering red cedars set amongst the crashing waterfalls. The Casuarina Falls circuit and Rosewood Creek Track, both 2 hours, offer stunning waterfall views, the former leading you to the clear blue pools of the Sassafras Creek and Casuarina Falls while the latter sees you depart the Never Never picnic area on a journey through the ancient forest where you will see birds aplenty and some of the tallest tallowwood trees you could imagine.
