Dubrovnik

Surrounded by fortified walls, this medieval port city is UNESCO World Heritage Site considered paradise on earth by history and culture lovers.

About

Dubrovnik lies in the heart of Europe on the Adriatic and is often referred to as Croatia’s most beautiful town. The breathtaking views of the pristine, crystal-clear Adriatic Sea is reason enough to pay this town a visit. An impressive Middle Age city wall surrounds the entire city. The 1970 meters of white stone dates back to the 11th century and served to protect Dubrovnik from threats. Today visitors can explore the ancient city walls for themselves. The city’s pedestrianized old town has narrow stone walkways and features a stunning amount of architecture including: churches, monasteries, museums, and fountains. There is also a vast amount of livelihood, with many seafood restaurants and cafes and bars featuring live music. The Dubrovnik cable car takes visitors to the top of Srd hill for a fantastic view of the old town and the Adriatic Sea. On a clear day, you can see up to 60km away.
