The largest sand dune in the world is an adventure going both ways.
Dune 7, the seventh dune after crossing the river Tsauchab is literal mountain of sand, standing over 1,256 feet tall. Blocking the horizon, the dune dwarfs visitors, making people look like ants on their hill from a distance. A fantastic view, adventurous travelers might want to try to climb to the summit. The blazing sun, and hot, unstable sand make this a test of endurance, so if you do attempt it, be sure to have plenty of water with you. For your perseverance, you’re treated to amazing views of the world’s oldest desert, and an exhilarating descent down the slip face if you’re so inclined. Locals will even use it for sandboarding and skiing.
